Words like “I can’t right now”, “maybe later”, “once things settle down…”
It shows up as fear, fatigue, hesitation — and slowly drifts away. Not because you don’t deserve more, but because somewhere along the way, you might’ve learned that having too much could be… dangerous.
Dangerous because it might change everything.
The way you see yourself. The things you tolerate. The choices you make. The version of life you’d finally allow yourself to experience.
Sometimes, it’s not a lack of money. It’s a lack of permission.
Permission to want. To expand. To receive.
And this… this doesn’t get fixed with spreadsheets or hustle. It starts with a new internal dialogue. A different kind of story.
Recently, I came across something that gently invited me to rewrite mine.
It’s soft. Subtle. But quietly powerful.
